Talino Venture Labs is looking for a staff accountant who can contribute to our growing financial reporting needs. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial work environment. Responsibilities
- Execute mid-level general ledger account reconciliations and verify data accuracy, enabling senior staff to analyze options and make financial decisions aligned with company objectives
- Monitor policies and procedures for assigned location, and identify and suggest improvements for accounting reporting and recording procedures
- Comply with local, state, and federal financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation
- Participate in webinars, workshops, and networking events
- Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial close processes in a timely manner, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts
- Assist in providing schedules and commentary with respect to operating maintenance account results and variances, and with the production of working capital, cash-flow reports, as well as applicable commentary
- Maintain and update records and reports for profit and loss, taxes, assets, and liabilities
- Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance
- Internship or professional accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, and formulas, a plus)
- Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA eligible
- Experience in audit accounting
- Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.) a plus
- A strong desire to grow through continuing education
- Preferably from the Los Angeles county that is willing to work at Redondo Beach, CA
